The Fever 333 just dropped a new E.P. “Made An America”. If you haven’t heard it yet, don’t worry, you will soon.
With a spitfire flow and catchy choruses, this band was made for modern rock radio.
Their hard hitting lyrics about poverty, inequality in America, and police brutality are reminiscent of early Rage Against the Machine with a Linkin Park twist. The Fever 333’s new single, “Walking in My Shoes” has been getting a lot of attention recently and is sure to be one of the biggest rock songs of the summer.
The Fever 333 is vocalist Jason Aalon Butler (ex Letlive), drummer Aric Improta (Night Verses), and guitarist Stephen Harrison (ex-The Chariot). They recently teamed up with Travis Barker and John Feldman to write and record their new E.P.
Now we all know Travis Barker, but if you find yourself saying “Who’s John Feldman?”, let me help you out.
Have you ever heard of The Used, Atreyu, Good Charlotte, 311, or Story of the Year? John Feldman has produced albums for these artists and many others, including some of pop’s biggest names, like Ashlee Simpson, Hillary Duff, and 5 Seconds of Summer. If that wasn’t enough, he’s also the lead singer of the legendary ska band Goldfinger.
I think it’s safe to say The Fever 333 is in good hands. After listening to the record a few times, I can honestly say that I think there is something special here. I’m really excited to watch the band’s progression. I have a feeling it won’t be long until they are getting offers for larger tours and doing a headlining run.
In early summer, The Fever 333 will play a handful of dates with John Feldman protégés The Used. One of those shows is at Sokol Auditorium in Omaha. In 2002, I saw The Used open for Goldfinger at Sokol. On May 24, 2018, on that same stage, The Fever 333 will be opening for The Used. It’s great to see an established band helping a newer band out by passing the torch.
I can’t wait to see who will be supporting The Fever 333 when they are selling out shows on their own headlining tour.
