Over Memorial Day weekend Doom Metal legends Baroness made a stop at the Waiting Room (5.24.25) on a short run celebrating their classic early albums Red & Blue.
The room was packed for this unique show showcasing some of Baroness' best work. It helped that it was a Saturday and a holiday weekend, but it was cool to see so many fans coming out to support. I saw a lot of previous Baroness tour shirts and folks walking around with Baroness vinyls. This was my fourth time seeing Baroness and they never dissapoint. Their guitar work is mesmirizing and the vocals soar like the wings of an eagle. Baroness takes you on a musical journey and makes you feel like you're flying on the back of a griffin or sailing across a stormy sea in a viking ship.
From the first note until the last fists were raised in celebration. All across the room fans sang along, shouting their favorite lyrics back to the band. It's always cool to see people rocking out to something they have so much passion for.
I'm glad to see Baroness had so many fans come out because that means they'll probably keep Omaha on their tour route next time. If you've never seen Baroness live you're missing out. Make sure to check them out next time they come through!
Huge thanks to Baroness management for photo access.
