Chance The Rapper Celebrates 10 Years Of Coloring Book At Stir Cove!

Story and Photos: Spencer Fleming
Friday night (10.2.26) Stir Cove welcomed Chicago artist Chance the Rapper to celebrate 10 years of his breakout album Coloring Book. With temperatures in the mid-60s it was a beautiful night for a concert.
Chance brought along newcomer LA Reezy from New Orleans to get the party started. This 22 year old rapper may be a little green but knew how to work a crowd. His high energy and communication really got the vibes turned up. He called for the crowd to move, jump, and scream, and they were happy to oblige. He said "I'm from New Orleans, but I feel like my family is here in Council Bluffs. Keep an eye out for LA Reezy!
LA Reezy made a lot of new fans!
Chance the Rapper's DJ "Cottontail" did a 15 minute set of tunes from Chance's home Chicago to get the mood right. Despite all his contriversy if you drop a bunch of Kanye songs the people are going to dance. Chance stepped out and the crowd went wild. Playing straight through Coloring Book, the DJ dropped the beat on "All We Got" followed by "Blessings". The cryo jets shot blasts of cold air over the crowd. With the chilly temperatures the air came down like snowflakes. It was a wild party! Chance gave the Stir Cove fans a stellar performance playing all the way through Coloring Book and other various hits. With only one more Stir Cove show to go it's really starting to feel like fall is here. Hopefully we'll see everyone next week for the final bash of Rise Against and Alkaline Trio.
Thanks for reading and we'll see you at the next one!
