The Reverb was vibing Saturday (3/11) as three local artists brought some much needed warmth and shine to this otherwise dreary day.
First up was Victoria Ortega. Victoria got night kicked off with some notable covers and a few originals mixed in. Between songs Victoria spoke about her life and it sounds kinda hectic. She's from KC but staying in Omaha, fell in love with someone in New York, the girl has a lot going on! Despite the life chaos, Victoria provided some smooth and soulful jams to get the room into a chill mood.
Up next was the Omaha R&B/Pop/Rapper Nugz. This was my second Nugz show and I gotta say I think I had even more fun this time around. Nugz has such a diverse lineup of songs that you never hear the same thing twice. Switching from upbeat pop jams to a hip-hop flavored track Nugz keeps you on your toes and always has a smile on his face.
You can tell Nugz puts a lot of care into his craft and it makes you want to root for him even more! This time around Nugz brought up fellow rapper Rysie (pronounced Rizzie), for an old favorite and a brand new song. No lie, the brand new song was a bop. It's about three minutes long so you know it's radio ready. Make sure you're following Nugz so you can request the song on 89.7 The River once it's released!
Shout out to DJ Madix for manning the 1s and 2s!

Last up was Omaha pop singer Harlow. With a backing band and a nice playlist of covers and a few originals Harlow kept the party going! I really enjoyed Harlow's covers of "Umbrella" by Rhianna and "Beautiful Soul" by Jesse McCartney. All around, it was a super fun show.
Thanks so much for Nugz and 1% Productions for having me out!
